The Memorial Symposium to honour Chris Lamb will take place on Thursday 4th March 2010 in the John Innes Centre Lecture Theatre. We hope to reunite many of his colleagues and lab members and have a great day of science, whilst reflecting on all that he achieved.

There will be a day of talks (see attached draft programme) and included will be two informal sessions where members of the audience will be invited to say a few words about Chris either as a person or as a scientist. Attendance will be free, but you will need to send a completed registration form to Sam Lingwood.

We are very fortunate to have an excellent set of speakers at this symposium who are coming a long way to take part. We encourage you to fully engage, enjoy the science and participate in remembering Chris’s many contributions but ask that you participate for the whole day, or at least a whole session, in order to avoid the disruptive and embarrassing mass exit/entrance between speakers that occurs at some meetings.

The talks will be video-linked to Watson and Crick Seminar Rooms (G34/35) for those who can only listen to just one or two lectures.
