Professor Harald von Witzke holds the International Agricultural Trade & Development chair at Humboldt University, Berlin. His academic career has taken him to the University of Minnesota, St Paul where, during an eleven year posting, he became Professor of Agriculture and Applied Economics. Before that he was Associate Professor at Gottingen University, Germany. He has written many papers on a wide range of agricultural topics but the main emphasis of his current studies are World Trade, Climate Change and Food Security.
